Chekhov in Love is a FREE immersive theatre event that strings together the love scenes from Chekhov’s five major plays. The scenes are orchestrated by Anton Chekhov himself and his great love, Olga Knipper, in their own words. Some 800 letters passed between them in the five years they courted and were married before Chekhov’s death at age 45. From their daily letter-writing, the play resurrects an urgent discourse on artistic sacrifice, change, loss and love. 14-Forty and Studio present this 90-min fantasia, adapted and directed by Megan Ketch, at the hip interactive venue, The River LA, in Frogtown.
